Sustainability criteria for biofuels – 2012
The ISCC-EU, ISCC-DE standards were successfully implemented and certified in SLOVNAFT, a.s. and MOL Plc. As a result of this achievement, we are able to trade in all EU countries where this sustainability certification is a precondition of any distribution activity.
The requirements of the ISCC-EU and ISCC-DE standards focus on the traceability of bio component proportions added to fuels, on the transparency of the process, on the calculation methodology management.
ISCC is a biofuel certification system adopted by the EU. The certification of biofuels is a guarantee for the whole product value chain (production of primary commodity of bio-components e.g. production of colza, oil pressing, manufacturer of bio-components, distributor of bio-component content fuel) - guarantee for product sustainability and means that production of certified products comply with renewable directive requirements.
